Cartoonists’ expressions of political ideas are threatened by violence, the state, and social media campaigns. Nationally known artists whose work is exhibited in “Windows on Death Row - Nick Anderson (the Washington Post Writer’s Group formerly of the Houston Chronicle), Patrick Chappatte (The New York Times), Ann Telnaes (the Washington Post) and Matt Wuerker (Politico) - will discuss their experiences and the need to defend the freedom of the press. David Schultz, a Floyd Abrams Clinical Lecturer in Law at Yale Law School and a leading First Amendment lawyer, will moderate.
